Save Handmade Update!

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has been hemming and hawing and making minor "clarifications" here and there, but it's still not enough to assure small business owners and resale shops that they are safe. I've even heard rumors that libraries are being told they will need to close down their children's wings to be in compliance with this law! In the past three days, I have received emails from three different WAHMs who are selling off their stock because they feel they can't continue to be in business once this law comes into effect.

There is a class action lawsuit being formed, and you can read about it here.

You can read my original blog post here, or click on the "Save Handmade" picture in the sidebar. Please, sign the petition. Contact your representatives by email or better yet, call them.

There has to be a way to both protect our children AND support small businesses and resale venues.
