Instant Oaties
These yummy no-bake cookies are from Parents Magazine (January 2000)
3/4 Cup oatmeal
3/4 Cup dry milk powder
3/4 Cup creamy peanut butter
1 Tbsp honey
1/2 Cup wheat germ (honey crunch if you'd like)
And, if you really want to do it up, raspberry gumdrop candies
1. Spread oatmeal on a large plate and microwave on high for 4 minutes or until lightly toasted. Stir twice during cooking time. You can also toast them in the oven-- watch carefully!
2. In a medium bowl, mix dry milk powder and peanut butter until blended. Stir in oats and honey.
3. Form mixture into walnut-sized balls. Sprinkle with/roll in wheat germ.
4. Press candies into centers, slightly flattening. Refrigerate at least one hour or until firm.
